MANHATTAN - A Brooklyn boy presented an NFL star with a special award Monday night.

East New York resident Tamurai Smith honored free-agent wide receiver Victor Cruz for his community service at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan. As a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Smith and his mentor, Eric Dilello, were selected from among 3,000 pairs to hand over the hardware.

The organization also raised more than $2 million at the event, which will help serve the thousands of children who rely on the nonprofit charity's relationship-building services.
