BROOKLYN - An MTA bus driver has been arrested for assaulting a passenger in Brooklyn.

According to police, a 23-year-old passenger spit on the driver twice after an argument over the fare. They say the 42-year-old driver then followed him off the bus and assaulted him at Avenue H and Nostrand Avenue.

The MTA says it will take appropriate action toward the driver following a thorough investigation.
