BROOKLYN - A special soccer match was held over the weekend, pinning Brooklyn Caribbean athletes against each other before the West Indian Day Parade.

Participating teams Jamaica, Guyana, Grenada and Saint Lucia kicked off the 22nd annual Caribbean Cup in East New York. While the games are competitive, the players say that bringing the community together is just as important as winning.

This year it was Saint Lucia that grabbed the cup and $10,000 to share among its 18 players.
