BK councilman arrested during Wall St. protest

BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn councilman was among the nearly 300 protesters arrested as the Occupy Wall Street movement crossed the two-month mark.

Councilman Jumaane Williams (D-Brooklyn) joined thousands of people who stormed the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan. He later tweeted that he was practicing civil disobedience when he sat toward the entrance of the bridge.

The march was just one of the many protests that took over the city and its transit systems yesterday, just two days after demonstrators were evacuated from Zuccotti Park.
