BK day care owner accused of defrauding ACS

BROOKLYN - A Coney Island day care owner was arrested after being accused of stealing thousands in taxpayer dollars from the Administration for Children's Services (ACS).

According to the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office, an undercover video shows Liliana Godzhinski cheating the system out of $25,000 over a 13-month period. Officials say she was billing ACS in her monthly attendance sheets and voucher forms for children who never actually attended her day care.

Godzhinski is facing several charges, including grand larceny, and faces up to seven years in prison if convicted. She has pleaded not guilty and is currently out on $10,000 bail.
