BK driving school owners charged in cheating scheme

BROOKLYN - The owners of a Sunset Park driving school are facing charges for allegedly helping hundreds of students cheat on the commercial drivers' license exam with the help of technology.

Police say Phillip and Pui Kuen Ng, who own N & Y Driving School, would send the test takers into the DMV equipped with a small camera hidden inside their sleeve, which they would point at the test questions. According to investigators, Phillip Ng would be monitoring nearby on a laptop, and then he would send them a page. Different pages meant different answers like A, B, C and D.

Investigators say they caught Ng after an undercover officer paid him $1,800 to cheat on the test.

Ng and his wife are charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud. If convicted, they face up to 20 years in prison.
