BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn family says a local hospital misinformed them about the death of their grandmother.

Jasmine Goodwin says she received a call from a Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center staffer informing her that her 93-year-old grandmother had passed away. But when Goodwin and her family members went to the hospital to gather Ella Abrams' belongings, they found her very much alive.

A hospital spokesperson says they are taking the matter seriously and investigating the incident. Goodwin's family says the hospital staff should be retrained. They are considering legal action.
