BAY RIDGE - A French wine company has commissioned a Brooklyn graffiti artist to design labels for its wine bottles. Michael McLeer, who used to create street art and designs for major companies such as Nike, was approached by wine maker George Debuff to create wine labels for his Beaujolais Nouveau product. "As a kid, I always had a little bit of that Brooklyn swagger and attitude where I wanted to make mom proud," says McLeer. McLeer says he prides himself in his community, and that his artwork will always convey an urban flair.
