BK immigrants set to take part in lottery that offers green card as grand prize

BROOKLYN - Some Brooklyn immigrants are getting ready to take their chances in a lottery that offers a green card as the grand prize.The Diversity Visa Lottery program, offered by the U.S. Department of State, makes available 55,000 permanent resident visas. People from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States are eligible to take part. The lottery will begin at noon on October 4 and ends at noon on December 3.
