Community leaders in Bushwick are handing out flyers today, urging residents to help solve the mystery surrounding a 14-year-old that was shot in the head

BROOKLYN - Community leaders in Bushwick are handing out flyers today, urging residents to help solve the mystery surrounding a 14-year-old that was shot in the head two nights ago.

Akeal Christopher was on his way home with friends from a party on Wednesday night when he ran into another group of teens on the corner of Cornelia and Evergreen Avenue.

An argument quickly turned into gunfire, and Christopher was shot in the head.

He is currently in the ICU with a bullet lodged in his head.
