BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn man is in custody in connection with the shooting of an officer from The Bronx on Thursday evening.

Off-duty officer Juan Pichardo was shot in the leg while trying to defend his family's used car shop from armed robbers.

Tyquez Harrel, 22, of Brooklyn, was one of four suspects arrested.

The group is facing several criminal charges, including attempted murder, burglary, and criminal possession of a weapon.
