BK man sentenced in corruption trial

(08/25/10) BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn man was senetenced to 18 months in prison today for charges stemming from a massive corruption case.

Shuel Cohen admitted to laundering money for a man who turned out to be a government witness. Prosecutors say he transferred up to $1 million to people in Israel and other foreign nations.

Cohen was among 44 people arrested in July 2009 in what police are calling New Jersey's largest corruption sting.
