BK police continue to investigate girl's death

BROOKLYN - Police are continuing to investigate the death of a 2-year-old girl in Brooklyn.

Surveillance video from a nearby bodega and restaurant has surfaced showing the toddler being held by her mother, just moments before she was found bruised and bloody in their Putnam Avenue home.

People in the area reported that the mother had been looking depressed lately.

Police also reported that the mother was incoherent and babbling when they arrived on the scene.

The mother of the child is currently undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.

Police have not pressed any charges yet.
