BROOKLYN - Police are searching for an attempted rapist in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Police say a 21-year-old woman was allegedly grabbed by the victim while walking home early Friday morning.

A passerby intervened after hearing the victim scream, and the rapist fled the scene.

The suspect was caught on surveillance video wearing a black jacket, dark pants and a winter hat. He's described as being in his 20s, weighing around 170 pounds and about 6 feet tall.
