BROOKLYN - (AP) - A New Yorker charged with killing four peopleand wounding four others during a 28-hour rampage has beenarraigned in a subway stabbing that authorities say came momentsbefore his arrest.

Maksim Gelman said nothing and didn't enter a plea as he wasarraigned on attempted murder and assault charges.

The hearing Wednesday was conducted through a video link from ahospital where he's being held. It was limited to allegations thatthe 23-year-old sliced a subway passenger with a knife at TimesSquare shortly before police wrestled Gelman to the ground Feb. 12.

Gelman's lawyer did not comment.

Gelman was already being held without bail on murder and othercharges.

Gelman has told reporters both that the case is a setup and thathis mind sometimes "isn't right."
