BK Remembering 9/11: Memorial flag unveiled

BROOKLYN - Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) and the National September 11 Memorial and Museum unveiled the official New York State Sept. 11 memorial flag today.

Sunday will mark the 10th anniversary of the terror attacks.

At the center of the flag are the Twin Towers, commemorating those who died there.  There is also a replica of the Pentagon, where 125 lives were lost and 40 yellow stars representing those who died on the plane that went down in Pennsylvania.

Cuomo says the flag is also a reminder of the heroic efforts of first responders.

The flag will be flown on Sunday at the entrance to the World Trade Center memorial and the capital building.
