BK resident makes blueprints to fix dangerous intersection

PROSPECT HEIGHTS - One Prospect Heights resident says he's fed up with the accidents at what he calls a dangerous intersection in the neighborhood.

Jeff Sherman says he came up with blueprints to change the intersection at Atlantic, Washington and Underhill avenues to make it safer for pedestrians and drivers.

The plan includes extended curbs at all five of the corners and other improvements.

The Department of Transportation has agreed to meet with Sherman and Rep. Latisha James regarding his blueprints. Sherman says he has a meeting with them on Nov. 17.
