BK residents finding ways to cope with heat

BROOKLYN - Residents across Brooklyn are battling the oppressive heat by figuring out ways to keep cool.

Parents in Park Slope took their kids to a popular 5th Avenue sprinkler spot, while commuters near Borough Hall welcomed free water provided by the city's portable water fountains.

Others purchased fans and air conditioners to deal with the near-record temperatures.
