BROOKLYN - Dozens of borough residents rallied this morning with the hopes that the state will step in and stop the merger between Interfaith Medical Center and Brooklyn Hospital.

Brooklyn residents living near Interfaith fear that a merger will take resources away from the struggling hospital.

Interfaith Medical Center filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in December.
