PARK SLOPE - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is urging Brooklyn residents to be very careful when purchasing sunglasses to protect their eyes.

It says sunglasses that block both UVA and UVB rays provide the best protection.

Officials say it is also very important that seniors and young children protect their eyes from the sun.
