BROOKLYN - Several Brooklyn schools are joining forces in their fight for funding. The schools rallied in Bed-Stuy to protest Mayor Michael Bloomberg's proposal to cut $170 million in funding for after-school programs. Protesters say about half of the 52,000 children in the programs would lose their spots due to the cuts.Bloomberg has said he's working with the city council to come to a fair and balanced resolution.
