MILL BASIN - Brooklyn seniors rallied today against proposed budget cuts that could affect senior centers in the borough.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg has proposed $40 million in budget cuts to senior centers citywide.

Residents say cuts could affect the Jasa-Mill Basin Senior Center on East 68th Street, which has only been open for one year. Seniors say they're worried the center won't be able to stay open if funding is no longer available.

The center provides a place for Brooklyn seniors to interact as well as eat and stay healthy.

The mayor has just one month to get his budget passed.
