BROOKLYN - The West Indian Parade is only a few days away and some Brooklyn businesses are getting ready for the festivities.

While some women planning on participating in the parade packed hair salons to get ready for the big day, restaurants near the parade route also prepared for the hordes of paradegoers that are expected.

Street vendors say they are also stocking up and hope that the weather is nice.

The parade will be held on the Eastern Parkway on Labor Day, and News 12 Brooklyn will be airing highlights.
