BK student authors close the book on first publication

BROOKLYN - Some young Brooklyn students are celebrating the completion of their very own published book.

First-graders at P.S. 161 in Crown Heights became the 10-millionth student authors to be published by Student Treasures. The Kansas-based company presented the school with a check for $1,000, which will be used to stock its library shelves.

The students also received their own copies of the book titled "Our Cinquain Poems."
