BROOKLYN - The president of the Brooklyn Tea Party joined thousands of protesters at the World Trade Center site in downtown Manhattan today.

The rally included many Brooklyn residents who voiced their opinions about the controversial plan to build an Islamic center near Ground Zero.

Many activists showed their support for the mosque plan, while others remain opposed to the proposal.
