BK tenants deal with garbage as workers protest lockout

FLATBUSH GARDENS - Many tenants at Flatbush Gardens are fuming after they say their garbage has been piling up outside for weeks.

Residents say the garbage and subsequent stench has been there for two weeks, ever since the landlord locked out maintenance workers for not accepting a 30 percent wage decrease.

Maintenance workers have been protesting ever since the lockout, demanding fair wages.

Tenants say the garbage pile got so large on Sunday that traffic had to move around it. They say they expect the pile to triple in size if nothing is done about it before the end of this week.
