Blizzard brings chaos to NYC subway service

BROOKLYN - New Yorkers are facing a treacherous commute today due to the blizzard that has blanketed the snow.

New York City's commuter trains and subways are experiencing a variety of problems, from disabled trains to service suspensions.

NYC Transit is reporting suspensions or delays throughout the subway system. Spokeswoman Deirdre Parker says its buses are experiencing problems in all five boroughs, especially on snow-filled hilly streets. The Department of Sanitation is assisting where needed.
