KENSINGTON - Some Brooklyn residents had a rough morning trying to get around using public buses or subway trains.

About a dozen passengers were stuck on the B16 bus for hours after the driver attempted to make a turn onto Church Avenue and lost control at around 8 a.m.

Residents trying to take the L train this morning also ran into some trouble. Riders were stuck at the Livonia Avenue and Sutter Avenue stop. Passenger Jennifer Frederick says she'd been on that train since 10 p.m. last night with no food or access to a bathroom.

Despite some headaches for commuters, officials say public transportation is still the easiest way to get around Brooklyn.
