RED HOOK - A blogger in Red Hook says the neighborhood is quickly becoming a tourist haven.

Luke Armstrong was motivated to write a blog called ‘Your guide to having a super fun day in Red Hook, Brooklyn’ on his site, Travel Write Sing. He showcases several places that are enjoyable to eat and fun places to visit.

Armstrong says by writing his blog encouraging tourists to visit Red Hook, he realized how quickly the area recovered from Superstorm Sandy.

Red Hook Winery, mentioned on the blog as a must-visit location, saw a major part of its business get washed away during the storm. Now, tourists can enjoy wine tasting from more than 50 locally grown vintages.

“You have a lot of local businesses that are quirky nice and you could really spend a day here enjoying yourself,” said Armstrong.
