Bloomberg cites progress in PlaNYC

BROOKLYN - Mayor Michael Bloomberg says that about three years into the city's long-term plan for a greener New York, 57 percent of milestones have been met.

Bloomberg says that among other milestones, 100,000 affordable housing units have been sold, more than 300,000 trees have been planted and 200 bicycle lanes were built.

The mayor announced PlaNYC in December 2006 and set a 20-year timetable for its completion.
