Bloomberg: Slow blizzard cleanup not due to budget

BROOKLYN - Mayor Michael Bloomberg says the city's slow response to last week's blizzard is not a result of budget cuts or layoffs.

Bloomberg says the number of people working and the equipment used to clean up the snow is the same as in previous years, and that the city is still assessing what went wrong this time.

A City Council hearing on the blizzard response is scheduled for Jan. 10.
