PROSPECT PARK - Park workers discovered a body Wednesday morning while making the rounds through Prospect Park.

Authorities say the man was found buried under a pile of leaves on one of the park?s bike trails. Police were on the scene at approximately 9 a.m. and say the man, believed to be a Hispanic male in his 40s or 50s, may have died from blunt trauma to the head.

?I'm just really surprised - this park is really safe,? says Amanda Corbett, who rides her bike in the park. ?I ride through here almost every day and I have never noticed anything unusual.?

Those who frequent the park say they hope the discovery doesn?t give the wrong impression about the park.
