BROOKLYN - A 24-year-old man has been arrested on a second-degree murder charge after a body was found in a storage container in Flatlands.

Police say the body with multiple stab wounds was found in a plastic bin behind a home on East 54th Street. The body was discovered by police after a local nightclub owner called to report that a club bouncer had admitted he killed someone.

Police confirmed Sunday that Joshua Simser lives at 15-61 East 54th St., where the body was found, and that he has been arrested. They say Simser stabbed the victim after getting into an argument over cigarettes.

Neighbors were shaken up to hear of the grisly discovery and subsequent arrest. One told News 12 that Simser was "very quiet."

Close friends of the victim, whose identity will not be released until his family is notified, say he was a 38-year-old man who has a 7-year-old child, and that he also knew Simser.
