BOROUGH PARK - Fire officials say one person has died after a fire broke out in his Borough Park apartment.

The fire broke out at around 2 p.m. Sunday on the third floor of 5205 New Utrecht Ave. When firefighters arrived, they found Li Wai Hung, 60, unconscious. Hung was rushed to Lutheran Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

News 12 was told the fire was contained to Hung's unit and no other tenants were hurt. Three firefighters were sent to nearby hospitals with minor injuries.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
