PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS - Borough President Eric Adams and the Prospect Park East Network held a vigil and town hall meeting Monday night to discuss the issue of overdevelopment near Prospect Park.

Residents and officials are mostly concerned over an empty lot, which could soon turn into a 23-story condo. Neighbors say that the building, funded by Hudson Capital, would block the view of the sun while they are in Prospect Park.

Right now, there are no zoning laws with height limits in the neighborhood.

Residents also say that a building like this could raise rent and bring overcrowding to the area.

More than 300 people showed up to the meeting.
