BROOKLYN - One of Brooklyn's biggest cheerleaders has delivered his 12th and final State of the Borough Address.

Borough President Marty Markowitz chose to go out in style, giving his speech at the Barclays Center Thursday night with some high-profile guests on hand, including actor and East New York native Tony Danza, and 2013 Miss America Mallory Hagan.

Markowitz said Brooklyn is in great shape thanks to new waterfront developments in Williamsburg and Red Hook, Coney Island's recovery after Sandy and the borough's booming tech industry. He also announced a new initiative called "B-Tech," which will train young people for technology jobs.

Most residents say they hope the next borough president will pick up right where Markowitz left off, but they'll have a big challenge trying to match his personality.
