BROOKLYN - Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz is getting ready to say goodbye as his third term comes to an end.

During an exclusive interview with News 12 at Borough Hall Markowitz said that even though his third term is coming to an end, his work to make Brooklyn a better place is far from over. He says he feels he has been instrumental in restoring pride to the area.

He told News 12, "I made a promise that Brooklyn would never be in the shadows of any other place in the world."

Markowitz said the people of Brooklyn have voted to keep term limits, but if he had any say in the matter he would stay in office forever.
