BROOKLYN - An area for children is reopening at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden after a major restoration and expansion project.

The Discovery Garden, which is located inside the Botanic Garden, has been improved and is now four times bigger than before.

In June, the garden will have walking trails that will mimic marsh and meadows commonly found throughout New York state. Children will also have the opportunity to build bird nests.

Organizers say that the bigger garden allows for kids to have more opportunities to take part in workshops and learn about nature.
