Boulevard Houses flooded with wastewater

BROOKLYN - Residents at the Boulevard Houses have been cleaning up since late last night after wastewater began coming out of their toilets and bathtubs.

The residents say it occurred in units on the first floor, flooding apartments with 3 inches of water.

Carpets, rugs and clothes were reportedly ruined during the flood.

The New York City Housing Authority responded and sent more personnel to the scene this morning. It says the problem seems to be clogged pipes, which it plans to fix.
