BROOKLYN - A child with autism was dropped off at the wrong location by his school bus, and the boy's mother is now looking for someone to take responsibility for the mistake.

Jerimiah Miranda, 8, was supposed to be taken to P.S. 264 Thursday morning, but instead arrived at P.S. 104, according to his mother, Gladys Cruz. The boy then ran from the wrong school, but was stopped.

Cruz says her biggest concern was that P.S. 104 serves students much older than her son.

Miranda was eventually taken to the right address and is OK.

Cruz says the scenario evoked memories of Avonte Oquendo, the autistic Queens boy who ran out of his school and was later found dead.

The bus company declined to comment. The Department of Education says that it is investigating the incident.
