BROOKLYN - The bribery trial of a Brooklyn state assemblyman is now in the hands of a jury.

William Boyland, Jr. (D-District 55) pleaded not guilty to conspiracy charges after he was accused of taking $175,000 in bribes from a hospital executive.

The government claims Boyland was given a no-show job working for an Albany executive. Boyland's attorney says the arrangement was legitimate.
