FORT GREENE - A new arts media complex is opened for business in Fort Greene at the former site of the Strand Theatre.

The BRIC Arts Media House, located at 647 Fulton St., is a $41 million city-funded renovation that includes art galleries, performance studios and a media broadcasting center.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Borough President Marty Markowitz, as well as other city officials, attended its official opening this afternoon.
