Bridal shop goes up in flames in Bay Ridge

(09/14/10) BAY RIDGE - A fire in Bay Ridge may have destroyed the wedding dreams of many brides in Brooklyn.

Alice Sena, the owner of Sposabella, says she got a call at 1:30 a.m. that something happened to her store. She says a fire caused $200,000 worth of damage and destroyed many dresses for local weddings. She says some brides are empathetic, but many are angry and have yelled at her.

Sena says not all was lost in the fire, however. She says she was able to rescue all of the brides? dresses and some other dresses.

Firefighters say the fire started on the first floor and Sena says she believes the cause was electrical. Officials are still investigating the fire.
