CONEY ISLAND - A Coney Island mom says a broken elevator has made her wheelchair-bound daughter a prisoner in their apartment.

Schania Burgess says she has not been outside their apartment in four months, not even for school. Tenants say the elevator in the building has been broken since Superstorm Sandy.

Management says they are doing the best they can to repair the elevator. They are hoping to have it fixed by March 25.
