Broken window leaves mother, kids shivering

BROOKLYN - Window woes have plagued a local mother and her children for months, and has only worsened with the recent blast of frigid temperatures.

Angela Vega says her window at 2020 Pacific St. fell into pieces back in September. The New York City Housing Authority put up a board but never gave her a new window. Vega claims frigid air blows in through a crack in the board, leaving her and her three kids shivering at night.

The housing authority says it is working on making additional fixes to the window. Vega says at this point she just wants to be transferred to another apartment.
