BROWNSVILLE - The Brownsville community is remembering an 88-year-old woman who was struck and killed by a car this weekend. Isabel Rodriguez was hit Sunday near the corner of Livonia Avenue and Mother Gaston Boulevard, where Rodriguez and her sister Laura Chico usually take a stroll. Chico says the pair usually holds hands, but that this time Rodriguez stepped ahead. The driver, identified as 50-year-old Wayne Stokeling, allegedly fled the scene and was later arrested for leaving the scene of an accident. Family members say viewings for Rodriguez will be held this Thursday and Friday, with a funeral scheduled for Saturday. Bed-Stuy pastor arrested in connection with fatal hit-and-run
