Brooklyn Academy of Music opens new theater

BROOKLYN - The Brooklyn Academy of Music is celebrating the opening of its first new performance building in 25 years. The academy unveiled the Richard B. Fisher building, which houses a 250-seat theater and an art studio. The performance space will be used by both emerging and established artists. The $50 million project was made possible by a combination of private and public funding.
