Brooklyn art dealer looks for new venue

A Brooklyn resident and art dealer says she's been struggling to find a place to live and a venue for her gallery after a fire

PARK SLOPE - A Brooklyn resident and art dealer says she's been struggling to find a place to live and a venue for her gallery after a fire destroyed her home and business earlier this month.

More than 200 firefighters were called in to fight the massive flames that started inside a supermarket and spread through a row of businesses.

Monika Wuhrer, one of the victims, says that the most important tradition she refuses to lose is her December soup kitchen event. Wuhrer says for the past three years she recruited chefs to cook meals for the homeless in her gallery.

Now, Wuhrer is looking for a new venue to host the charity event.  She says some friends have offered up their homes to host the soup kitchen, but that she will continue to search for a venue.
