THE BRONX - A Brooklyn artist is behind a new exhibit that gives a glimpse into the lives of the men and women who serve in the U.S. Military.

The Bronx Museum exhibit, entitled "Veterans," is a series of portraits that reveal the personal experiences of American troops.

It's the work of painter Nina Talbot, a Bronx native who currently resides in Brooklyn.

Each portrait tells the story of a soldier set against wartime scenes in Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, Korea and other battlefields. It also includes elements of the veteran's life before, during and after his or her service.
