SUNSET PARK - An Asian volunteer group is patrolling the streets of Sunset Park and Borough Park in an effort to improve neighborhood safety.

The Brooklyn Asian Safety Patrol works closely with the NYPD, calling local precincts when volunteers spot suspicious activity.

Membership has doubled in size to 50 since September.

The patrol wants Brooklyn residents to know they strive to help people of all backgrounds.
